I Wait, I Pray

I know the sunset now is close at hand
And ask you hear my prayer and understand.
I know my life is coming to a close
And I your servant wait for your command.

The sun is setting and no longer glows
And vibrant wind of youth no longer blows.
I fall upon my knees as I prepare,
To give myself to you when I repose.

I thank you Lord for times that I could share,
Your Holy Word with others unaware.
I know the sunset of my life was planned;
Abundantly you blessed my life through prayer.
