Dead silence, before the storm, embrace the gentle peace
For these fleeting moments of calm will so soon cease
The gentle breeze
Drops a few degrees
And the blowing wind does increase
The rain slaps my window with a bang of the thunder
With a flash of lightning, I hide under the covers, and stay under
The streets begin to drown
As the rain is pouring down
How long can this go on? I wonder
But the thunder is persistent, it keeps up deafening booms
The sound of the thunder and flashes of lightning fills the rooms
And suddenly it's silent
The pouring was so violent
But I listen for the rain plopping, but the sound never resumes

I tried a different rhyming style this time! Hope it is enjoyable :-) I also hope this is descriptive enough :-\

Powerful words to the fear of the beating sound of the rain and thunder. Well written. Blessings.
