Mustering up the gumption
to tackle the unknown -
'moving away from home'
possibility again filled me with
dread beyond what I'd known...
Then to realize that night,
before I went to sleep,
the job opening had expired -
opportunity had left my door.
But I was no longer afraid -
And so last night I dreamt
about the normal daily routine
I go about these days, filling
in at home as unpaid gardener
and housekeeper, free laboring.
Until my dream ended with a
crash - while getting ready in
the morning, so I dreamt, I
dropped my hand-held mirror,
and retrieved it to find
It was in one piece, but the
glass was broken in half within
the frame - then I woke up,
with no other memory of that
dream; what can it mean?

My reaction was shock and fear - 7 years bad luck. Then I reminded myself I didn't believe in luck.

Luck is what you make of it, Truly. This is a wonderful rendition of your dream, I enjoyed it, although it made me feel a little powerless at times. Great write, Thankyou for entering my contest, and Good Luck!

Thank you!
I'm still wondering about the significance of the broken mirror... -
-
online I found this:
"To break a mirror in your dream, suggests that you are breaking an old image of yourself. You may be putting an end to an old habit. Breaking a mirror is also an old symbol for seven years of bad luck. To see a cracked or broken mirror in your dream. Represents a poor or distorted self-image. Alternatively, it suggests that you have put an end to your old habits and ways."
