I know sometimes we don’t get along
We argue and disagree and fight
But it wouldn’t be us if we didn’t
And in the end it works out alright
I know sometimes I annoy you
Almost as much as you annoy me
But that’s just the funnest part
That no one else seems to see
I know I do some crazy stuff
And sometimes you don’t have a clue
But I only want to make you proud
I never want to disappoint you
I know that when you hug me
I feel so safe and sound
And even when I want you to go away
I always want you to be around
I know you’ll always protect me
And keep me nice and safe
Keep me away from those smelly boys
And never let me lose me place
I know you’ll always love me
I’ll always love you too
Even when I’m all grown up
No one will ever replace you
And even when I’m out there
Exploring this great big world
You won’t ever loose me
I’ll always be daddy’s baby girl

I think MANY of your readers are going to connect with that line. It says so much and sums of so many different relationships. We all like our space...to a degree. This is a touching poem, and I'm glad to hear you're so close to your Dad. Good to see he's appreciated!
