This was just lovely but also sad and filled with encouragement all at the same time...The joy of having known and loved her, the pain of having lost her love, and the encouragement of letting having known that love bring you through the hardest of days knowing you are better for having known and loved than to have not had the experience at all!!! First of all I think you know that I'm a sucker for love poems. I enjoyed this from beginning to end. The reason is that for such a short verse it not only goes into the emotion of love, it also touches on the spitituality of it with your line "befriended by grace". Bravo!
