Watching you drink yourself stupid
and smoke a cigarette,
I try to hide in a cupboard,
but I know you'll find me.
Sobbing in pain,
when your belt lashes my back,
do I really deserve this?
Am I really this bad?
Crumpling to the floor,
exhausted and in pain,
my back tore and bleeding,
crying until no tears are left.
Everyday your beatings get worse,
wishing I could just die,
more and more pain burns at my flesh,
as i cry until no tears are left.

I pray for all the kids who are treated like this.My only wish is they would seek out help and get out of there.It is my prayer that one day this abuse will not happen.I hope that this is not about you and that this person is rescued from their abuser.You wrote this for all the kids my only wish is that kids will see this or who ever is being abused like this and gets the help that they need .Good luck in the contest I hope this was only written for the contest and you are not going through this and if you are to please get help to get out of there.

This is a well-written, but very sad poem. I hope it isn't true and that it is just you placing yourself in the position of what it is like being abused, in your poem.

Oh Honey, this is a great write, but the subject is awful... It terrifies me to see this happening, I have been there, and know what it can do. I also watched this happen to one of my girl friends in school, and tried to help her, and only made it worse
Please, talk to someone, find some help. No one deserves this kind of treatment!
