Lost and Found

I lost you somewhere
in "I love you,"
but when I
turned around
you were there.

Words are fine; just sparse... A lot implied. This is a seed poem. I see a struggle between expectation, which limits and disappoints, and expectancy, which prepares a heart for gratitude.

Thank you so much for your wonderful comment on this poem. I appreciate it more than I can say. I usually don't write poems this short, but it was originally for a contest for poems of 16 words or less. It was based on a real situation though. Thanks so much again for your wonderful comment.
