I stumbled on them quite by chance
I didnt really have a clue
They looked to me like dragons eggs
I wasnt sure what to do
I called the local expert
He came and took a look
He didnt seem all that impressed
But couldnt find them in his book
I put them in my haversack
Didnt want to leave them lying
What if they hatched out in the night
Then decided to go flying
I took them home to keep them safe
Well you never know these days
I set them on a rolled up towel
The way a chicken lays
I took a few little pictures
Then went to the local museum
I showed them to the curator
He said hed have to see them
When he saw them how he laughed
He said..son they're only rocks
They were polished by the wind and rain
You can put them in this box
I took them home that afternoon
On the towel I let them lay
I still believe they're dragons eggs
I'm sure they'll hatch one day
Please tell me what you think

lol! This is the cutest tale told in poem form. I agree with Nyetta...perfect in a childs book of poetry.

Thanks Nyetta
Im not sure my writes are quite that good..to be part of a childs book!...most of my writes are purely based on my interpretation of the images I use to illustrate...but if folks enjoy the read then Im happy with that xx love n hugs Dad xx -

Ok, Dad, it is two to one, you lose! Even my son said this is perfect for a children's book
And yes are good enough for that! I would love to put one together from some of your writings for my grandsons! You are amazing when it comes to writing!
Love you
Nyetta
