At the end of this month
It’ll be 19months
19months
Since God made you an angel
And even though
It’s coming up for
2years since you left us
I can still recall so much
I remember the time
You turned round and once randomly said
“Bec do you know it’s out of fashion to wear your jeans so low”
I’d never laughed so much
I remember the times
You used to laugh like mad
At Ben and I competing
“No she loves ME more”
Nearly 2years on
All of those things
And sadly you
Are now just a memory.

I love how you related death to such an honorable being, an angel. I recall a poem of mine that I crafted by using the same poetic element. The memory you have of your Nan defies both space and time in this composition. Thank you so much for entering! Good luck.
