My Grand prince
My loving friend
You were always
There for me
You were smiling
All the time
I miss the way
Your blue eyes stared
I miss the way
You were always there
Laying on my homework
Yowling at the door
I always thought
That you would be here
For eternity and more
But as it seems
I could not stop
The jaws of fate at work
You are gone
My handsome prince
My siamese trouble-maker
My puma
Author notes
My inspiration was my cat, puma. He wasd a purebred siamese and my best friend

I admire your relationship with your cat. I too, have a passion for animals. I have dogs, cats, horses, you name it.
Anyway, your descriptive phrases caught my attention. Before I started reading your poem, the structure seemed choppy but as I read along, the way you organized your poem was excellent. The way you cut your poem fit the entirety of your composition. Great write!
Thanks for entering.

Definitely like
"The jaws of fate at work" is an AMAZING line.
Especially with the tone of your poem.
The nostalgia and feeling of loss is overwhelming.
P.S. Thx for giving me my first comment!!
