Tumbling

Stumbling over life's
building blocks,
climbing ever
higher...

If I said,
"I'm not afraid",
I would be
a liar.

Tumbling from
the turmoil,
I reach to
catch a star,

Looking towards
the heavens,
I wonder where
you are.

Will my last
memory,
be of just a
shoe?

Or will the
clouds finally part,
and I'll see a
smile from you?

This was very well-written! i'm impressed! i don't see any errors in it, and i absolutely love the way you wrote it.

I love the whole thing, but the "pure genius" part of it is here:

    "Tumbling from
    the turmoil,
    I reach to
    catch a star,

    Looking towards
    the heavens,
    I wonder where
    you are."

Great job, this was spectacular! Good luck in my contest!

    I would hope.

I would hope that you would indeed see the smile. I believe we all have this wonder within us.
