Nietzschean Polemics

I'll tell you what the war of Good and Evil is
It is man versus man looking at distorted reflections
Good and Evil and Good and Bad are different value-sets
One are the terms of slaves, the others of masters

Good and Evil is mere simulacrum of yin and yang
The God spoken of is the reflection God,
The Devil is a reflecting God of the reflection God
A permutation of Goat Gods

What's Good is Bad and what's Bad is Good
What's Evil is Good is Bad is Good
What's in a Good, by any other Good,
Would smell as evil as bad

    Hummm

interesting view which I do agree with... you are saying that what we have are preception problems. Not everyone see things the same. What some people would see as good others would see as evil.

    Interesting thought you have here.

Thanks for sharing this and thanks for entering it into this contest.

Well, I'm saying more than that in the other stanzas. . .but if I could sum up the last stanza, that's what it's about.

I'll explain the rest briefly, though I feel like I'm giving it away. . .But I see there's a lot of confusion for some people as to if I'm even saying anything worthwhile here, so with that in mind, I'll explain:

What I'm also presenting is Nietzsche's view on Good and Evil and Good and Bad. Good and Evil are the terms of slaves or perhaps peasants is the best word. . ."Evil" for them is whatever is "Good" to those who have the set of values "Good" and "Bad". These are the terms of an upper-class of elites. . .Likewise, the elite's "Bad" is the peasant's "Good."

So more or less he's explaining where these moral terms were derived. . .Where they emerged from. They are different value sets which emerged out of each other.

The next stanza is partially about the Taoist idea of yin and yang in comparison to the value-set of "Good" and "Evil." Then what I'm doing is reflecting on what the Christian God is. . .more or less, in my terms, it's the "human totem." Thus "the reflection God." "I am that I am." Then I go further and consider the devil. Is the devil truly as terrible as we say it is? In reality, the devil is the "reflecting God" of the "reflection God." I consider it a permutation of older goat Gods, such as Bacchus, the Greek goat God of celebration.

So more or less just a reflecting and consideration of some value-sets, as well as aspects of Christianity. In a nutshell, that's this poem.

I'm glad you could find meaning in this piece where others just wrote me off as not even knowing what I'm talking about. . .

    Indicisive!

look, It's lain to me that you have a gift with words, but this seems a fancy way of telling us the readers that you don't really know what you're talking about. Also, using 'God is Dead' in this contest is wrong because she specifically said 'no religion bashing.' Nope. Not your best work.

I am not bashing religion in this piece. . .If I were doing that, I'll let know that it would be much much more atrocious than it already is. A fancy way of telling readers I don't know what I'm talking about, huh? Poetry isn't meant to be necessarily direct. I am saying something here and you as a reader have to grasp it. . .I think it's pretty rude to tell me I don't even know what I'm saying and to just come to that immediate conclusion. . .Perhaps you could instead offer ways in which I could get my point across better?

Oh, I'm sorry about that. I didn't notice it was a favorites-only contest. Good lucky with your contest nonetheless!
