Under rainy moonlight so very long ago
love bloomed like flowers in a row
Her shattered heart sang of pangs
thinking her love had charlatan fangs
Broken, battered mystics realized
warm ruby-nectar was his prize
Deeply resting upon briny rocks
harmony in death balanced life's clock
Hear her whispering, calling your name
summons to dwell cold, untamed
Fathoming man's desires to roam
beauty beneath lurks sad, bygone
Be-tidings of love

Oh, I love the picture. This is beautifully written. Excellent flow and good rhyme. I also love the imagery. Very well done.

wonderful write. that last unrhyming stanza threw me off a bit....but no matter!!!
the whole of this is well said and reads very well. your choice of words was excellent. i like that there is that sense of both the light and dark. i suppose life and love are just like that! i also love the last line as well as title!!

Ah, Ennovy. Such a sweet poem. I love the way it unfolds giving a tale as classic as any love poem could ever be.

Nicely woven tale around an evocative picture, gentle couplets buildig to the end, thanks for a lovely entry

Wow,
I love this. It was beautiful and dark all at the same time. I love the sexiness and mystery of it all.
"Hear her whispering, calling your name
summons to dwell cold, untamed"
Amazing, simply perfection. You have an amazing talent and I look forward to reading more of your work.
