Can you see whats on the screen?

Like a computer that’s corrupt with the virus Trojan horse
It looks to bring peace to a solution but acts with force,
See it’s this thing called electricity that keeps it on its feet
We have the dependency on its affliction, we can’t defeat,
We upload policies we upload software’s just to protect,
But laws can be broken, we did it, who did we elect,
With the dark plague of greed inflicted upon mankind
This electricity is the money has made us blind,
This computer is the government with such distaste;

There’s a struggle for food over starvation in Zimbabwe
While we drown in beer on Martin Luther Kings Day
He said I have a dream that day, but 46 years on
We still judge by the colour of the skin of the man named John
We lack in having guilty conscience towards the poor
So self-centred, we say you are not Jesus, don’t come to my door
There’s only so much a human sees in what it believes
Too narrow-minded and influenced on what we perceive
Our hearts have died and replaced by the highest currency sign,
Smelling bank notes, hunting for diamond mines,

Mohammed said your mother comes first, first, first,
But to the child it she’s only a woman that used to nurse
They will murder her brutally forgetting she’s who gave blood
Because she’s old beat her to death, drag her through the mud
You see there’s no respect in this land, help comes at a price
We hesitate to help the hungry to give a bowl of rice,
We face error in the word terrorism, yet it’s displayed
Bomb Iraqi mosques while 200 men bend down to pray
Fear a man with a beard because he fits the description
When will we all wake up and realise we’re reading fiction?

Author notes

okay soo here's a poem about how I think that the society, the world is corrupted.
i refer to religious stuff like jesus/neighbour/door thing, mohammed(p.b.u.h) said the mother comes first before the father and stuff, and you know basic ironic stuff that we never stop to think about because we're so self indulged in our own problems we fail to realise whats going on on the other side of the world...

please do suggest anything to improve.

I plan to revise this poem: please leave constructive criticism!
