Heart's Desire

Held my life
Up to the light
To see the hidden lines
And now I see
What could be
If I had my heart's desire

I wish I had
Someone who cared
Someone to love me
But that still would not
Make me happy
That is not my heart's desire

I wish I had
A lot of money
To buy the things
I always wanted
But still that's not
My heart's desire

I see a shadow
A flicker of doubt
and now I know
I need to find
Who I am
That is my heart's desire
