For the first time in his life
The baby opened up one eye
He saw the world around him
And then began to cry
Rubbish in the sea
Pollution in the air
Nobody seems to worry
Does anybody care?
Habitats endangered
Animals extinct
Everything is terrible
It’s all so distinct
Everything’s an argument
Every where a war
I can’t understand
What’s all this fighting for?
Communities are separating
People torn apart
What is our world coming to?
Can’t you feel it in your heart?
Everyone’s important
In every single way
But we all need a family
To be there everyday
He though about his life ahead
And looked up at his mothers smile
He knew he’d help the world one day
But he’d have to wait a while
