Real

Mere mathematics burn
Elvish words like whispering flames fall
From your lips
Onto the forgotten page

Life is but a dream
from which you try in vain to wake

You stopped in the hall
To look through me
This transparent soul
No prince
No knight
No peasant even
I am a dream to you
I am nothing at all

You dropped your books
Hateable
Damnable
Terrible books
The methods by which you wake

And I picked them up for you
Smiling
But you looked through me
For I am no prince
no knight
no peasant even

I am in love with
you
to who I am nothing
nothing at all

This was an entertaining write. I love the repetition of the fact that the character was no knight, no prince, no peasant. It really gives you only two options, the dream, or the God. Excellent write and good luck in my contest.
