Raised voices
thrusted up and into the wind
carried far across hills, rocks, and wood.
Raised Colossus
thought provoking power strength
standing far beyond the clouds.
Remember the ancient Seafarers?
Praying to gods, all the while, fearing monsters.
Afraid of falling off the Earth
haunted by legends passed on from their fathers
screams laid upon stone and metal ears…
the oceans consume much
yet they also give birth.
This cycle is in all things.
A new age of adventure approaches
soon for the days of the unknown.
The unknown
about to knock on the door…

Love this piece so much. To look back into the past and see how the forefathers lived and saw things. To them, it was real and no questions asked. Today, we have much the same thing but with different things. Perhaps tomorrow will show us a wonderful more beautiful than we could imagine. The unknow is what we live with day in and day out. Just brilliant. Thank you for the wonderful write and good luck in the contest.

How very true! Sometimes I think it would be good to know what the unknown holds for us, but then again we don't know... It may not be what we want to know
Great job on this one!
Best of luck in this contest!
