The darkness called and evil took to flight
Upon the earth it spread disease and plight
And light seemed cast adrift on prostrate wing
As hymns of hope lay silent to the Spring
All faith lay crushed and purity was night.
As universe was stilled in mortal fright
And silence reigned in hatred to ignite
Awaiting for His Word an angel sings
The darkness called...
Storms of loathing battered with heavy might
Until all piety was lost to sight
T'was then His messenger released His sting
Announcing finally had come the King
Malevolence was banished, lost the fight
The darkness called...
Upon the earth it spread disease and plight
And light seemed cast adrift on prostrate wing
As hymns of hope lay silent to the Spring
All faith lay crushed and purity was night.
As universe was stilled in mortal fright
And silence reigned in hatred to ignite
Awaiting for His Word an angel sings
The darkness called...
Storms of loathing battered with heavy might
Until all piety was lost to sight
T'was then His messenger released His sting
Announcing finally had come the King
Malevolence was banished, lost the fight
The darkness called...
