Wearing sorrow like a dress,
covered head to toe
Visions of the past awash,
with the full moons glow
Now drowning in tranquility,
her days are so mundane
Tears flowing like a river,
so over run with rain
To catch time in a barrel,
take it back to by gone days
Before her life it did unravel,
before this maddening lonely haze
She cheated on herself,
a plight she never can forgive
Mending now her broken life,
just struggling to live
His face she sees it everywhere,
his gentle loving touch
To taste his lips alone in bed,
missing him so much
Solitude her only friend,
it’s all she has become
Dwindling to memories,
to death she does succumb
