Hello
It's business now as usual.
Continued cash for Israel.
I'm glad that I am here to speak.
I'll start a war or two next week.
There's no relief for working poor.
I'll give the corporations more.
Did you really expect change?
People you are so deranged.
I'm here behind my tempered glass
So people you can kiss my ass.
Hello!

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Oh, so smart and wildly funny!
Cool!

a rather cynical view of what one man can do if all under his charge are willing to implement the changes he perceives necessary, no doubt you are not alone in expressing these sentiments and your opinion is most certainly to be respected.

I believe the man will start out trying
and that self interests, prejudices, greed, lies and corruption will guide those who are expected to impliment the changes he deems proper until cynicism hardens him into a copy of those who came before. That is, unless he is percieved as the same kind of threat to the status quo that JFK was.

It is true no man can change things alone and it is not an easy task, but our cynicism should always be tempered with hope. It will take a whole nation working together to really bring about change. But oh, the possibilities. This is a fine humorous, satirical poem. Perhaps, it will not be prophetic.

I think the machine is too big
for change of the magnitude people expect. He'll end up doing what one set of puppet masters or another tells him to do. Most of all he'll maintain the status quo. -
Humorous slant on our expectations of a president...We often expect too much....But here you portray as us as being decieved and disappointed..He is not the Messiah....But is a change....clever write!
