A fairy prances along the rivers edge
Into the forest she skips along stones
Singing a song to the elder's, she pledged
To dream and dance making mischief known!
Into her own realm of right and wrong
She plays tricks on Passer-Byers unaware
She kindly whistles lady bugs along!
As she looks for little children to ensnare!
You see she only wants to come out and play
With all this sunshine and fun to be had!
She wants everyone to come out and stay
Fairy's haven't a good reputation, she isn't bad
Merely this child surrounded by color is sad
She longs for a human-child to be her friend
Any sweet little girl or mud covered lad
As she walks home at the Day's end...
Really all she longs for is a new friend
To share her sparkling wand tricks with
To have snail races and flowers to defend
To show that she and her people aren't a myth!
That is what she truly does wish!
