I wanted to trust you
I wanted to believe you

and not have to grieve...

hearts lie, they deceive
love should prevail
I wanted to believe
now I sincerely think

    The only thing that I think I would take away in this poem is the word "but" on the 8th line or rearrange it like this :

    "I wanted to believe,
    now I sincerely think -
    it could never be achieved...

    Anyway, it doesn't matter if you fix anything or not because the emotions just really jump out from this page and it makes me feel the mood you are in. It's sad when you lose faith in something/someone.
    I hope that you're able to find it somewhere else.
