last night while you were sleeping
i woke up around 2
i felt a breeze from the window
so i cuddled closer to you
you grabed me and held me tight
like only you can do
i felt your heartbeat on my back
like 1,2,1,2
as i shifted my postion
so that we'd be face to face
i put my hand over your heart
so i could monitor its pace
while gazing at you in your sleep
i noticed that you had
this cute little mole
i never noticed tat you had
as i reached up to caress the place
on your face where the mole lay
i feltt your hearbeat quicken its pace
so i took my hand away
snuggling up closer
i noticed that you smelled
like the faint smell of peaches
yea i knew that smell well
its the scent of the bubble bath
we took before bed
"real men dont smell like peaches"
lol, thats what you said
rubbing my hand up and down your arm
i just wanted to feel every muscle and every vein
that held me strong
i wanted to feel every hair
that kept me warm
hell i just wanted to feel your arms
that never let go
that kept holding on
that warm embrace that im comfortable in
from that gentle man
with a more gentle heart within

then i felt your heartbeat quicken its pace again
so i stopped and looked at the clock
it said 3:10
i still wasnt sleepy so i looked at you again
time seemed to be slowly passing by
so i took the liberty of counting every eyelash on your eyelid of your left eye
i counted every hair that i could see on your head that formed your hairline
i looked at your eyes close dand wondered what they saw while dancing behind the eyelids the hide behind
i wanted to seeif your heartbeat matched mine
so i put my hand over my heart
and noticed that your heartbeat matched mine
everytime i touched you
my heart went into overtime
but its strange because everytime i touched you
your heart did the same thing
two hearts on one beat
as if we were on being
i fell asleep just as the sun was rising
to replace the moon in the sky
and come out of hiding
i feel asleep to the beat of our hearts
playin continuosly in my head
like an on going song
while we lay silently peacefully in bed
i woke up wrapped in ypur arms
with my head on you chest
