The rain crow called it out as if he knew.
There was no clouds, the sun said high noon.
Once again the crow called"Rain!" can it be true?
Dust blew like a tornado making little whirl winds.
Handkerchiefs came put to cover the nose.
Breathing had been a problem for many days.
In a matter of moments people looked like they would melt.
Fans all turned up on high, it seemed useless to me.
There is no air, people sat with drinks under trees.
There was whispers of the crow, and the talk grew louder.
Everyone headed for the cafe, for another cool drink.
As some gathering in the cafe, the door blew shut.
Those still outside jumped into their cars and trucks.
The crow had warned them by an hour or two.
Everyone was content where ever they were.
After a while the families met at the cafe.
The rest of the day was the talk of rain.
Then someone remarked,
"Has anyone ever seen that crow before."
