Hearts Drum

Thimble trees and humble leaves
Empty sockets of make believe
Fairy tales filled with hidden tails
Used discreetly to break our shells

Consciousness leaves blankets of happiness
Sacraments held to increment our investment
Attest that this testament caresses from within
Beginning to conclude that we must start again

Written rhymes composed during lazy times
Infused with pendulums bounded by shades
Crystal signs divulges thoughts with hints of Clementine
Confused by extra sensations construed by the days

Kindred spirits await my ruffled wrath
Knowing not to be afraid
Though obsolete, sour cream and Sara lee
Unbearably send subtle hints of reality

Electric bills nailed through badges of respect
Forewarned that the nanosecond must come
Nail clippers with loose zippers
Keeps me infused to receive my hearts drum
