Gazing out to sea
it stands in mighty majesty.
While suns rise and set
in rain or snow, dry or wet.
Forever it stands, a symbol of hope and love
as majestic and innocent as a morning dove.
Why does it stand so strong and so tall?
It stands as a reminder, of God to all.

The two-stanzas really work well for this poem. I particularly like how your poem leads up to this question in line 7, "Why does it stand so strong and so tall? And then answers it in the final line.

Okay....first I must say there is no such thing as a bad poet. Not to me anyway. And this is not a bad write[I don't believe in those either.] I think this is a terrific write and that you should continue writing!! Great job!!

Nice. A little simple, but nice. I think it could be elaborted on, though it is still a nice compact poem as it is.
Thanks for entering. -
