When man looks at nature he sees not a gift;
but something he earned, something he deserves.
Something to use up and throw out at his own heart's desire-
something that should work for us, not be worked for.
God has blessed man with a scenery worthy of angels-
a scenery too generously given to a world never satisfied.
Man needs his epiphany now more than ever;
man needs to see this beauty that God intended nature to be.
Maybe early man had it right:
Don't fight nature, become one with it, and you will have all you need.
Maybe if man slowed down he would see that maybe,
just maybe, he is destroying the bigger pictrue.
Maybe man is lower on the totem pole than he realizes-
maybe we are killing the very thing giving us life.

This is beautiful. It has a lot of truth to it also.

God has blessed man with a scenery worthy of angels-
a scenery too generously given to a world never satisfied.
Man needs his epiphany now more than ever;
man needs to see this beauty that God intended nature to be.
Thanks for entering my contest and good luck! -
Maybe your right.
I completely understand this point of view. Man should certainly slow down, they might just manage to save our Earth in doing so.
I enjoyed this.

I really like this. A great message to us all.

I love the title of the poem. This poem reflects that you are a deep thinker..I liked the part about 'destroying the bigger picture'. Sums it all up in a nutshell. People sometimes take things for granted. Well done!

I can relate to this poem, and I know how you feel about seeing people destroy the Earth. This is something that I've dealt with for years, so that's where faith comes in, and I have to just trust in God's judgment. Nicely written, and don't lose hope.

So True
Yes I would completely agree with you. My favorite part was this,
God has blessed man with a scenery worthy of angels-
a scenery too generously given to a world never satisfied.
Yes it seems we are destroying the very thing that God has given us in order to live. Oh and then it's so beautiful and people are making it ugly in so many ways. But I must say we need to take in the positive too of the picture-st beauty of what there is left in nature to behold. Thank you for your entry and best wishes in the contest.
Blessings
Much Love,
Kelle Marie
