And bubbles of emotion swirl within
When days are tense you can't escape the drought
And fear begins to crawl across your skin
You know that all you want to do is shout
Yet fear holds on so tight you cannot win
That's when the scream inside is given birth
Attempting to escape, but there's no worth.
The time has come to break the bonds that tie
Allowing freedom space to vent your rage
To fear and pain it's time to say goodbye
Break off those chains that inside you have caged
The lions roar must bellow to the sky
That future now begins a brand new page
The storm will calm, serenity invade
And chaos will become a lost crusade.

I could feel
the roar inside and its strength to bring forth peace. Well written and content well expressed. Enjoyable read. Good luck. Frans

So fine, as always, with such deliberate meter and smooth flow to the rhythm and the rhyme. But, more importantly, the message is one that we all need to hear, when things can bog down on us and we need to have reassurance to make us want to go on. This sort of poem does that. It ought to be one of the classics.

Again, I am impressed by your talent. I wouldn't know forms if they flew up and smacked me in the face lol, but you sure have me wanting to learn them. Talent never ceases to flow from your pen. Best of luck!

I can't even work out what an Ottava Rima is let alone write one.

Fear
From the words of world leaders comes talk of doom and gloom. And the to ease the funeral pyre the fancy words of hope. Yes time to release the fear wise poet. Time to embrace reality.
