Throughout our lifetime we see many parallels,
seeming as though we’ve done it before
when in reality each moment is different in some way
always something, leaving us to want more
Today seems like any other, the earth goes by
time goes on with little change, yet we know
each moment is unique, each thought a world
creeping into our lives, to be here evermore
Looking into the mirror of my life, once again
I’m surprised at the vision that is me
it’s like looking at a reflection
and remembering the things that used to be
Its duality is so amazing as once more
I shudder in the quake of each wave
though they gently rock my boat, perhaps
frightened of a life now in its grave
Life goes on, its reflection safe in our minds
and as we go from day to day we learn to see
the perfection of our thoughts reflected
the purity of the earth, the mountains and the sea
