I never realized how little you meant to me
Until the day I walked away
I thought I would be heart broken
I'm not, and now I don't know what do say.
I thought I had found someone I liked
But guess that wasn't enough
I don't feel a monumental loss
I'm not just trying to be tough.
I'm willing to admit that it hurts
but only because I lost a friend
I didn't see a future with us
I was just waiting around for the end
I wish that I could understand
What goes on inside your mind.
But I know that you're just sick.
It's not in your nature to be kind.
I was always open and honest
that was something you wouldn't do
You filled my head with lies
Now I'm grateful that we're through.
