The stage is set,
the crowd is here
they ready themselves for the show
The music starts,
a symphony of execution
Perfection is in the making
The crowd cheers,
stars fill their eyes
They sit basking in total amazement
The curtain drops,
the performance ends
Rising for a standing ovation
The critics in the back,
wielding a pen and paper
Giving me five stars or two thumbs up
The curtain rises,
bowing to my adoring fans
Soaking up all the love they give
But now the show is done,
I fade into the darkness alone
Nothing to hold but applause and critical acclaim

Performing in front of an audience, or a crowd is totally amazing. You can block out reality & bask in the moment... Love it, great read.... Good Luck

Very pretty. I can completely relate to how it feels waiting for a show or concert to start when you are the person performing. This is very nice and best of luck in my contest!
