Imogen hides in darkness,
a shadow of blond curls,
silence; her preferred company
never leaves her side.
Masks of smiles hang
abandoned on her
bedroom wall
until happiness returns.
Open blue eyes full
of secrets, catch
my eye on the
rare occasion of contact.
Gentle steps of caution
let her shuffle down the
empty halls with her
hollow footsteps echoing.
Evening brings her solace
and comforting stars
that reflect in her eyes,
bringing back their sparkle.
No one notices her
but the rare unfortunate
soul,and I being one of them
want nothing but to love her.

Audrey/Myra
PROMPT:Imogen
I hope this is a good enough picture painted with words :S
Its from the perspective of someone she doesn't know. It could be anyone really.
Take it as you will.
sorry if it was too predictable
((BTW the first letter of every stanza spells Imogen
))

This is perfect! Especially the stanzas spelling out her name. If you hadn't told me I never would've noticed.
You described her so well without actually describing her that much, which is what everyone should aim for when they write these pieces. I could almost see her in my mind when I was reading this.
Thanks for entering. -
Awesome imagery and take. You did a wonderful job with an unusual name. Best of luck in your contest.
