As I watched the box in 1979
Tony Hart drew out this world of mine
And his little friend Morph came out to play
Why oh why was he taken away?
I remember winter nights
Underneath the house lamp lights
Drawing,painting all kinds of art
Shown to me by Tony Hart
And Abba's music was in the charts
As I was waiting for school to start
All that summer long I played
In dreamtime sunshine and the shade
And ran home each night so quickly
To see if my pic was on the gallery
Its sad to see him gone this day
Tony Hart has gone away
So I dedicate this to a childhood dream
And a man who made it better it seems
Bringing out the artists hidden inside
Tell me why it is he's died
So many years have passed today
And Tony Hart has now passed away
His lifetime was special, an amazing feat
Forever we'll miss you Tony, Hartbeat.

You have primary memories of a different era to mine, and clearly he was still making the same impression!
Great stuff, thanks for the entry and congratulations!
