spread your limbs across
the hazy tables.
when eyes open,
where have we all gone?
once i was summertime reincarnated,
breathing into an empty memory of
nights
we were never found,
scalding the life off of our lungs,
leaning into tomorrow.
this is those nights
i've lived you all over
again.

you know, i found this quite enjoyable- although i think the brevity hurt more than helped here. in the spots "where have we all gone?" and "leaning into tomorrow" i wanted more before the next line of the poem.
all this was missing to be a great poem was the "why does it matter" factor- that is- it was missing the background information that could really draw me in.
still very good,
thank you for the entry
