Destined To Be Friends

Two souls destined to be together
Two souls the best of friends
People come and go
But our journey never ends

I asked a certain question
I wasn't sure what to do
I realised our lines of communication
Was enough to get to know you

Yet the awkwardness we created
It was really hard to bare
Silence was a killer
Don't you realise that I care?

I've since heard rumors
I decipher the good with the bad
I know you're not a saint
Yet, it doesn't make me sad

I have eyes and ears
I can hear and I can see
I take note of anything going down,
Within my vicinity

Your personal life is your own
You and I will always be friends
Honesty is all I ask for
I hope deceit is not your trend

I'm not here to judge
I'm far from perfect too
I just want to talk, laugh and joke
Get to know the real you

Can we start all over again?
Take a step back
Before I asked the question
I can't beleive I ventured down that track

Back to the way it was
Back to the good ol' days
You and I are destined to be be friends
And it will always be that way

    possibly the best poem i have read in months.

    its was so emotive and real. You've definitely captured a scenario that is common to everybody with really honesty. I absolutely love this poem! your brilliant! well done!
