Hindsights 20-20

Looking back at all the things that went wrong
It's so plain to see how our love that was so strong
Could break, and throw me to the ground
I don't know how I missed the fact you weren't sticking around
There were times looking into your green eyes
I knew it was hard to belive you were forever mine
And now, I know it wasn't true
And hindsight makes it easier to see all of you

You promised me things and swore we would leave this town
I turned the other way when you were sneaking around
Spoke words of maybe Arizona, the Grand Canyon and the desert skies
I hung onto every word, every whispered lie
Looking back now, I can see the the truth
I've wasted this time I've spent with you
I know now it's not going to be alright
Somethings are clearer in hindsight

I'm waking up from this nightmare
Realizing all the things you said, you were never there
I don't know where you are and where you are going
'Cause there is no Arizona, there just can't be
I refuse to believe you anymore
Should have known it was goodbye when you shut my front door
The sunset sets and my tears fall from my eyes
Why the hell do I have to realize everything in hindsight

interesting choice for an additional prompt to work with, but it combined very nicely .... some of the phrasing could be considered cliche but there aren't that many ways in truth to say them.
