The Concert of my Mind

Inside my head,
the music plays,
an ever so nicely done,
concert in my mind.

Forte, Fortissmo, meter, and notes,
The accents, the crescendos,
the decrescendos of my mind,
the trumpets blare,
in my ear,
in the concert of my mind.

How I wish to be as talented,
as the one in first chair,
but as it is,
I'm just as important,
sitting here in 5th.
in the concert of my mind.

The words of music,
flow in my head,
welling me up,
its so amazing,
this concert of my mind.

  • This poem is very good. I like the vivid imagery you portray in this poem. It's a beautiful poem, not too long and not too short, full of metaphors and poetic devices.

I wish you the best of luck, and keep writing and improving your poetry. ^__^

Hmmm... I had posted a comment on this poem under your last username, and came back to place the poem in my bookmarks and see that all of the comments are gone. So will leave another one... or maybe you just didn't like the last one. Oh well, I have to say it anyway.

Your poem is very good, well written and seems to come from deep inside you. The metaphores, the thoughts behind your words, your eloquent way of expression, all without flaw.

We should all listen to the concert of our mind. And not being in 'first chair' doesn't make our music any less important. We each do what we can, what we were meant to do, to make the concert flow smoothly, for without each of us the concert would be dull and expressionless. We each have our place in life, whether handed to us or of our own choosing. The important thing is to make it the very best we can.

I truely love this poem, it's beautiful and meaningful.
