Part and Particle

~~~~~
My face stretches and curls
on the surface of the water
as the breeze
shifts its contours
and blends the edges
with shadows
that sway on the top
and glide to the bottom
And I watch it lose shape
in the widening spirals
spinning out from the middle
of the sky’s reflection
preening itself
in the silver shaded mirror
All single shapes disappear
into those ripples
caressing the smooth skinned surface
while silver-finned thoughts
glide below
in the current of that mind
watching itself in the mirror
    Pretty, pretty images! I particularly like the first stanza- it seems to 'sway' nearly as much as you describe.
    I feel a definite evolution of shapes here. The ending is a bit of a decrescendo, I must say. I had expected slightly more... Still an enjoyable piece.
    Thank you for the entry,
    I am surprised that no one has commented on this yet. This is fantastic. Very intriguing write. The poem seem to speak about becoming one with the world, and yet being rooted in our individuality and unable to escape thought. I love all the movement here. This has been a pleasure to read.
