Through the good times and the bad,

One year ago your duty did call,

leaving friends you gave your all.

As each day my promise I renew,

For "Him" as always

One year ago today Moodayo-Okohke left to do his duty as a Dog Soldier of the Cheyenne. The next day he was reported killed. He is my Hetane and I know one day we will be reunited. It is for "Him" I wait, as promised.

    Oh my goodness; I am so sorry to hear of the background behind this poem. The structure was fabulous; very complicated looking to me - but I noticed as I read through it that there was definitely something going on with the form.

    Excellently written; so full of love and trust and loyalty; such a great dedication to the man that you loved.... Bravo

    aww i love this poem. its too cute. see this is how i am with someone who i think im inlove with. alot of people call me stupid because im waiting for him when alot of other guys like me and would date me but im waiting for him. and he knows i am i only have 3 more years. no its not because he's in prison or anything like that. its alot more simpler but anyways this peom is great. =

    Yes, a year is a quick moment of time when memories of loved ones come back to us, but memories of fond and honourable times shared they will always be.

    How Glad I Am That I Read Tonight!

    Imagine, me reading tonight, luv, and it being the anniversary of dear Moodayo's death...I am so saddened again remembering...This is a beautiful form write, but also to remember his memory, and your love for him...What a special person to do without...We all miss him, but you of course especially!
