Dear you -- Hey there, how are you?
I know we don't speak much.
Just want to say I'm sorry
That I don't keep in touch.
I have a major story
For you, I'd like to tell,
So that you'll always know me;
To prove I mean you well:
There once was a rock that wanted out
From the place it used to roam,
So her pebble friend told her about
A brand-new, northern home.
The pebble friend made lots of friends,
And forgot about the rock
Until a threat of their frienship's end
Made him on her door knock.
You see, you must remember
That she is still a friend,
And the month of late September
Is no reason to end.
Don't think that it's just you though.
It takes the two of you.
She must remember too, so
You do not part. Adieu.

I miss you, love. I'm poor as dirt and jobless right now, but we should hang out sometime soon.

Beautiful.
I really like the organization of this poem. It's very nice. I don't think it sounds awkward, only maybe the 2nd to last line, "She must remember too, so" I know that was to keep the same rhyme scheme. You could change it, but that's up to you. It works the way it is and I can't say that my poems don't sound awkward at times, because they do. Anywho, very nice, I enjoyed reading this, I may just have to keep my eye on you.
Take care.
