We'd often times find
ourselves walking down
the streets of New York,
best friends by my side,
in the middle of a rainstorm.
The streets are washed
with the clouds' tears
and we wade through
the puddles like we're
little kids again.
I love the sound
of rain when it hits
my umbrella, makes
me think of it as nature's
sad symphony.
The most marvelous
of memories is the night
we spent walking down
the avenue under the rain's
shade and fireworks
burst in the air,
washing the reflective
pools around us in the
most magnificent of colors.
