Engagement

Standing on an old dam wall, just listening to the sounds of the bush.
He takes her hand and leads her out further.
They stand and gaze out over the water…
Looking up at him and smiling she says, “I love you.”
He looks deep into her eyes and sees exactly what she means.

Slowly he goes down on one knee and asks
“Will you marry me?”
With tears in her eyes she replies, “Yes.”
Beautiful diamonds and gold slip onto her finger.
They slowly walk back to shore
Love beaming from every pore.

And now the planning starts…………….

what a beautiful poem! It's so sweet. Not to mention romantic, of course. Who wouldn't live a proposal like that?
    God Bless, Larbird
