Hometown Pride

Telling my boyfriend about my hometown
I'm all excited with a huge  smile on my face
I said we should go visit the town
He says why theres nothing at that place

I said thats where your wrong...

Theres the friendliest people at the local diner
Theres the skating rink my uncle bubuh puts together
Theres my great gram, no one makes an apple pie finner
Really hits the spot in this cold winter weather

He looks at me and says i can get a pie anywhere
I say oh no you dont know what you're missing
Take my hand let me take you there
Let me teach you about the ya'll and aintyas not this dawg and dissin

Theres the Amish that sells the best bread
Theres the church that brings everyone together for worship
Theres the milk man that squeezes my cheeks til the're red
And theres the best moonshine around. try a sip!

Here we are at my family farm
Oh how i miss it so!!
Used to have all the baby calves in that barn
Milk all day then play in the snow

Theres the field where i used to pick flowers
And I can almost smell the fried chicken
Thats the river I jumped in to try and get out of taking a shower
(Didn't work well with mom)
And theres the gardenwhere I had to do a lot of rock pickin'

Just then he takes my hand and says

This is where I get down on one knee
And I look into your pretty blue eyes
As I ask you to marry me
Under your favorite country skies

So here I am walking down the isle
Ready to say I do til the very end
We're gonna show my hometown pride in style
With the pickup truck and cans on the end!
