My class is interesting learning how to break down medical terms
Enteritis is the inflammation of the small intestine
Dermatoplasty is the surgical repair of the skin
Intravenous means inside the vein
Changing singular to plural forms I have learned
Appendix is the singular term that turns into appendices for plural
Larynges is the plural for larynx

Transabdominal means through the abdominal wall
Eupnea is normal breathing
Rhinometer is an instrument that measures the nose and nasal cavities
Morphinic pertains to morphine
Immunology is the study of the immune system
Nephrorrhaphy means suturing of the kidney
Otalgia is pain in the ear also called an earache
Laryngitis means inflammation of the voice box
Ophthalmorrhea having a discharge from the eye
Gastrocardiac pertains to the stomach and the heart
You can also have number prefixes that are at the beginning of the term

    Way To Use Your Knowledge

I can relate to this because when I went to school for Surgical Technology, I had to learn medical terminology and I used to have to do the index card thing and break down the words into root words, combining forms, prfixes, and suffixes. I really like this because you showed your talent to be that of a unique individual and versatile with the flow. You are the best and I love reading from you. Keep writing and I'll keep reading.

    Wonderful!

First glance, I see a much better flow. You have taken your class learning and turned it into poetry. The creative concept of turning the mundane into the imaginative. That is a good working concept! Kudos, poetess!

GOOD LUCK with your classes, Baby!

I used to have a model like the picture included with this many years ago - when I was just a wee lad. As I'm not particularly fond of going to The Doctors - which I've written about on many occasions - I give thanks to the sexy and sensual medical assistants and nurses - who always cause my blood pressure to go through the roof at me medical exams - for IF it wasn't for them I'd have to be kidnapped, hit over the head, or drugged to go like MR. T from The A Team had to be before being put on a plane! LOL!!!

Here are a few of me favorite lines -

Rhinometer is an instrument that measures the nose and nasal cavities

(As me nose is similar to Ringo's from The Beatles - I wonder of a Rhinometer comes in KING SIZE and if it can be used on a Rhinoceros too?

    Morphinic pertains to morphine

(this one could be quite hallucinogenic - and lead to spiritual and sensual visions)

and as for this one I'll pass -

Nephrorrhaphy meaning suturing of the kidney

as I'm not too keen on being cut open and sewn back up.

    Peace & Love!
    Earl.

You'd go to the head of the class if I was your professor, Baby!

Wow. Nice job. You have made a treatise on boring medical terminology interesting. I enjoyed it alot and found it neat that you put it in the form of an acrostic.
