Running around the house was so much fun,
Laughing and giggling with childish delight!
In circles until I was dizzy, I spun!
I shrugged rules which told me this was not right.
When Mom's golden prized vase crashed to the floor,
My heart stopped and I remembered the law.
I cried over rules I tried to ignore.
I knew my bottom would be beaten raw.
I was justly condemned to my fate
By the broken pieces that lay at my feet.
I tried to hide it but it was too late.
Mom discovered my attempted deceit.
She saw my tears and gave me an embrace
And covered my sin with her golden grace.
