pursed lipstick red
holly berries winter green
beneath blue sky

cloistered heart
bleeds Oregon grape
whispered sanguine sigh

bursting bodice
slow dream to kiss
morning pinions fly

LOL... thank you, Gaze. Flavors and fragrances and hearts bound in lace are such pretty Valentines. Sometimes they abound in the pulse of nature. I was looking at blue sky lacing through the branches of the holly tree outside my window. It is loaded with clusters of red, red berries, still.

Your lines are delicate and full of image, hope and dreams flying toward their target. I like the unifying rhyme. It is early morning here, and your poems are a lovely start to the day.

U cast a web of sensual revelation that clasps a dream and spreads the senses across the moon light of promise. These few brief words so tenderly express vulnerablity and love it makes the reader tremble, moisten their lips and pray that such a vision will inhabit their heart.

    Love, Tom B.

Let them be brushed by a breeze and I am sure the tear will be kissed away.

LOL.... Valentines Day is certainly for romance... And everyday could use a little spark to hide in the twinkle of laughing eyes. Thank you coming by and the comment.

    "whispered sanguine sigh"

I think that is the key line in the poem, for in it is the idea of love, that even that cloistered heart dreams of it, has some pangs for it.

Even this old crusted over heart has a need for it...it's somewhere buried deep beneath the debris but maybe I'll find the right lady, one with a pitchfork and hip waders who is willing to dig through the muck and mire and find that still beating heart, lol.

    Lovely like everything you write.

Yem, then it shall be. You'll see, but she will have no need of a pitchfork or hipwaders, because love is like a phoenix, the chaff just burns away on the heat of re-entry. Thank you for looking deep, as you always do. I always smile reading your comments. ~K

Hey you! Thank you! It's good to see you, too. I've been out of the loop for a while and have missed being active here. My day is getting away from me playing with the poetry this morning, but I will be back later and take a peek at you pages. ~ K
