I am now broken
Drowning in this mess I've made
Taking the wheel when it wasn't
Mine to take and driving
Living in my hollywood dream
That's all gone now
Somewhere along the way I spun out of control
Crashing hard, looking up to see the
Idols, paintings, monuments, and masks that I created
In a world of my own devising, burned to the ground
Charred remains of a pathetic attempt at belonging
I catch a glimpse of myself in a cracked mirror
My mask is gone and I'm horrified at what I see
And I realize: I'm nothing without You, God
So here I am, gathering what's left of me
On outstretched hands
My soul crying, repentant
I offer everything I am to you
Fully, finally
Though it's not much, it's all I've got
With outstretched hands
And a broken, contrite heart
I vow to fight this time
To not give up
To always keep my eyes on the goal
To Your goal, no matter how hard the road
