It's funny how an old friend moves away
and you think about thm less and less every single day.
The errant thought- where did you go?
or the silent one- i miss you so.
The fleeting reminders of days long gone,
of afternoons spent in the sun
moments where we were so close
we moulded into one.
I always miss you my old friend
but much more on this day;
for a got a dreadful message
that you had passed away
I cannot say how I feel
much past that of remorse
for I have lost a old friend
and the world a beautiful horse.

Excellent
This poem has a wonderful, touching and heartfelt message. Just because it is an animal, doesn't make the loss any easier. Tears cried when grieving for a friend lost are the same, wether that friend is a Man, Woman, horse, dog, cat... or which ever of gods creatures that have touched our hearts.
Thats just the way it works.
I draw your attention to the song "All Good Things" by Klaatu. It was written by John Woloschuk upon the death of his beloved family pet, a Bassett Hound, that passed away while he was away recording the album 'Endangered Species'
in it he says, "I Know it sounds a Triffle odd, to those that never had a dog, but i never had a closer friend than you"
Your emotional outlet is a Good One.
Well Done
