I'm done waiting for my ship to come in, so I'm taking the next train out of this godforsaken town. Luck is in the draw && the bullet that loged in your throat wrecked any hope of you talking me out of this. If I'd had enough courage I could've slipped the poison in your eyes as you layed there staring at me, telling me how our lives could finally fit into that heart shaped glass you kept by the bed.
I walked away && flustered the ravens in your yard, they seemed so slighted that the thrill of the chase was gone.
We were the talk of the town baby, an oh-so-hardcore boyfiend with his punk rock prom queen.
You threw it all away. I deserve better && you deserve so much worse.
I was shipwrecked in your eyes, dehydrated for your brand of cruel love.
I miss the way we would sit on the front steps of the old abandoned church && speak of the horrors of happily ever after.
I guess I forgot that girls have never belonged in Neverland.
